Why I Started WayPoint Horizons

If you had met me years ago, you probably would have thought I had everything figured out.

I had a successful career, built businesses, achieved many of the goals I had worked toward,

and experienced opportunities that many people spend a lifetime pursuing.

From the outside, life looked successful.

But life has a way of reminding us that success does not exempt us from struggle.

Like many people, I experienced seasons of disappointment, loss, financial hardship–uncertainty, and moments that forced me to ask difficult questions.

Who am I when everything I have built begins to fall away?

What truly matters?

What kind of life do I want to live?

Those questions changed me.

They led me on a journey that eventually became the foundation for everything I am building today.

A Different Way of Looking at Life

During that journey I discovered something simple, yet life-changing.

Life and living are not the same thing.

Life happens to all of us.

Living is how we choose to respond.

That realization became the foundation for my book, When Everything Falls Away, and later became the philosophy known as Living Life Forward.

It also changed the way I viewed success.

Success is not measured only by what we accumulate.

It is measured by who we become.

By how we serve.

By whether we help others move forward.

What I Learned

Over the years I realized something else.

Almost every successful person can point to someone who helped them along the way.

A teacher.

A coach.

A mentor.

A friend.

A business leader.

Someone who believed in them before they fully believed in themselves.

Very few people arrive at their best life alone.

Yet every day I meet people who are trying.

Some are rebuilding after hardship.

Some are searching for purpose.

Some have incredible dreams but no guidance.

Some simply need someone willing to listen.

Often, the difference between where they are and where they could be...

is surprisingly small.

Sometimes it is wisdom.

Sometimes it is encouragement.

Sometimes it is opportunity.

Sometimes it is simply one person saying,

"I believe in you."

Why WayPoint Horizons Exists

Waypoint Horizons was created because I believe too many people struggle alone.

Not because they lack ability.

But because they lack connection.

Guidance.

Mentorship.

Opportunity.

The organization exists to bring those things together.

Not to rescue people.

Not to create dependence.

But to help individuals discover clarity, build confidence, and take the next right step

toward the life they were created to live.

A Personal Commitment

This organization is deeply personal to me.

It isn't simply another nonprofit.

It represents the lessons I have spent decades learning.

It represents every setback that taught me resilience.

Every failure that taught me humility.

Every mentor who invested in my life.

Every person who encouraged me when I needed it most.

And every opportunity I have been given to begin again.

If those experiences can help someone else discover hope sooner...

then every difficult season was worth it.

Looking Forward

I believe the greatest chapters of our lives are often written after we think our best years are behind us.

I believe purpose has no expiration date.

I believe experience becomes most valuable when it is shared.

Most of all...

I believe every person deserves the opportunity to discover what is still possible.

That is why I continue writing.

That is why I continue creating.

That is why WayPoint Horizons exists.

Because helping one person discover the next right step may change the direction of an entire family...

or even generations to come.

My Invitation

Whether you have come here seeking guidance...

looking for an opportunity to give back...

or simply wondering what comes next in your own life...

Welcome.

I hope you find encouragement here.

I hope you find clarity.

And I hope you discover that no matter where your journey has taken you...

your story is not over.

There is still a path forward.

And if we can walk a small part of that journey with you...

it would be an honor.
